Product Overview
Danburite doesn't come up often on a site built around tourmaline, kunzite, and aquamarine, which is part of what makes this one worth a look. It's terminated, free of damage, and comes from Paprok, Afghanistan, the same pegmatite belt that produces much of our tourmaline and kunzite material. 35 grams, natural, no treatment.

What Makes This Specimen Relevant
Most danburite on the collector market comes from Mexico, Myanmar, or Madagascar, so a terminated piece from the Paprok pegmatites in Afghanistan is a less typical locality for the species. If you're building out a broader collection beyond the usual tourmaline and beryl group, our Rare Minerals Crystals collection is where pieces like this live. For context on how pegmatites like Paprok produce this range of minerals in the first place, see pegmatites explained.
Buying Considerations
At 54mm long and only 16 to 23mm across, this is a slim crystal, so treat the termination the way you would a tourmaline or kunzite point: careful handling, no stacking it under other specimens in storage. You can see the crystal from different angles in these two videos: DbXPF8lr6pI and gD4phyd4fqg.
